The Queen sculpture

When we launched the open edition print of RSEA supporter and world class artist Helen B Runciman’s painting of the Queen we had hoped to raise enough for a memorial bench to donate to Erskine. Sales were higher than we could imagine and we decided to do something a little more adventurous. Helen created this stunning sculpture of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II which was unveiled at the 2023 Erskine Military Ball by RSEA President Gordon Smith. The sculpture will act as a permanent memorial not only to the late Queen but also to all absent friends and family. In true Helen style there is a little secret hidden in plain sight. The centre of the Queen’s poppy is the RSEA crest. The sculpture will take pride of place in the main Erskine Reception area.

A limited edition of 9 inch tall sculptures
are available from Helen’s publisher.

The Queen painting

In 2011 to mark the 95th Anniversary of Erskine opening we were delighted to reveal the fantastic painting of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II by Helen B Runciman. The painting featured Rangers related images as well as Army, Navy and RAF from World War 1, World War 2 and more recent conflicts.

We published a run of A3 sized prints which sold out instantly. In 2016 we published a run of A3 sized prints to mark Erskine’s 100 years. These understandably sold out as well.

Poor quality images of the painting have been circulated on the internet over the last week and several people have been selling printed version of it online. We have asked them to stop as neither the artist or Erskine benefits from their illegal use of the artwork. We have therefore decided, after consultation with the artist, to produce an open edition A4 sized print of the painting. Each print will be hand signed by Helen. Proceeds from the sale of this new print will go towards a permanent memorial to Her Majesty that we will donate to go in the grounds at Erskine.

The prints are printed on 450gm card and are A4 in size. Priced at £25.00 plus £3.00 Royal Mail First class UK postage. They can be bought using the PayPal link below. Please allow 14 days for delivery.

This is the only place to buy a copy of this print that will benefit Erskine. Please do not buy from anyone else who will be publishing this image illegally.
